♥ Delani (my little sister) has a job! It's her first job, and it happens to be somewhere that she's wanted to work since she was like 12, so she's bouncy and thrilled. She turned 16 around Christmas, and she's been looking for a job since January, so I'm glad she finally found one, especially one somewhere she's excited about. It's at Hot Topic, for anyone who is familiar with it.
♥ Work is going well still. Gets a bit slow some nights, but there's usually busy work to keep me busy and make time goes faster.
♥ road_ahead is love. There's a ball coming up next weekend, in fact. Is it pathetic that I've requested PTO time for next Saturday so that I can be home to help run the event and have my characters attend? Yeah, I thought it probably was. LMAO. *is also planning to take vacation day on September 19, so I can be home when hermionebigbang goes live and do lots of reading*
♥ All my exchange fics are done and sent in, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. I've signed up for three Big Bangs, all of which have ideas of some sort in my head, but they're not like a 'if you don't do it, you're a total failure and someone will get a hastily written gift boo on you' thing, so there's not so much pressure. I want to start my hermionebigbang fic tomorrow because that idea is talking the loudest right now.
♥ I have to go to work tonight, but I have a few hours this morning before I leave, so I'm going to work on spreadsheets for HBB and finish my laundry. Fun times! I hope all of y'all have a great weekend! *hugs and loves*

OMG! Sign-ups are going really well so far. There are so many people willing to try this challenge that it just makes me so excited. I mean, I'm a bouncy dork on a normal day, as many of you know, but this has just me going :D:D a lot. ( Cut to spare y'all my rambling )

I finally focused on one idea for it, I think. I'm inspired right now, at least, but I need to start writing it and see how it goes. Pretty excited about it, if it goes like it's telling itself in my head. Are you tempted but still not sure? Comment and let me try out my powers of persuasion!

So, florahart, heather11483, emeraldswan and I are tossing around the idea of having a 'Big Bang' to celebrate Hermione Granger's upcoming 30th birthday. For those who aren't familiar with it, the Big Bang concept began with Harry/Draco a few years ago, and it's since been adapted for many fandoms, pairings, lengths, and characters in the years since. We're generally considering something like a short-novella minimum and the fics would have an artist assigned to create something for them.

Ours would be focused on the character of Hermione Granger, obviously. It could be gen, het, femmeslash, threesomes and even crossovers of any rating (G to NC17). We're trying to gauge interest in the idea now, so we can organize and get it started if people are wanting to participate! The timeline we have in mind would give writers 3-4 months to work on their fic and artists a couple of months to create for their assignment(s) with a 'go live' date in time for Hermione's birthday. If you are not a member of LJ but would be interested in participating, please comment below or email as hermione.mods@gmail.com to show interest. You do not have to belong to LJ to participate!
